frank comes back to slap you in the face.

okay, so it has come to this.
i am so bored at work that i have reverted to listening to new kids on the block and watching videos with cute animals.

but annnyyywayys, this is a continuation of a previous list of things that i think about this strangee country. hangin' tough korea.

1: military
" girl, i'll take you to taco bell."
mmm, these bois are full of suave pick up lines. they getcha everytime.
so not only do they disturb my evenings by flying fighter jets over my apartment, but they also love to hit on anything that is a woman. i must say though, ed hardy and buzz cuts have a certain charm. oh gosh, you caught me. i have a weakness. choker necklaces and clothes from kohls are my kryptonite.
thank you daegu, for allowing three american army bases to create a most endearing atmosphere.

2: stop hitting yourself
why all of a sudden do i think that hitting sore spots is a new remedy to relieve pain?

3: dog = masshiseo (delicious)
i recently went to chilseok market in daegu. and low and behold, there is a street of dog restaurants. i felt so terrible after walking down that street.
here is a video i took on my phone of one of the restaurants. and no, i did not eat at the restaurant. come on. seriously, come on

ps. NEVER google dog meat. EVER. don't say i didn't warn you.

4: scooters
thought they deserved another mention because i hate them so much.

5: hanguel-ma muloiyo
koreans LOVE when they can speak to foreigners in korean. or even if you know how to say simple things like ' hello' and 'really?'. sometimes they get REALLY excited. it makes me laugh.

6: what are you?
i mean i know i got this back in canada as well, but here i probably answer this question three times a week. sometimes, saying you're from canada isn't good enough.
"i know, but like, where are you 'really' from?'
i should just say space from now on.
however, being called rihanna does do good things for my self-esteem.

7: ME TOO!!!
i think my favourite moments with my students is when i ask them what kind of food they like.
although it escalates to a point where i could say anything and they still would scream at the top of their lungs in extreme joy.

well, that's all for now.
have a good weekend folks.

xo.
