i'm pretty much a zombie.

i'm sorry that you have to open up my blog, and the first thing you see is a disgusting photo of my goopy wound. however, i feel it necessary that you know that i feel that i will die and be reborn as the world's first zombie.

i was on the back roads of india on a sunny afternoon, when i stopped to ask for directions.
the man was very nice and pointed me the right way. i started to walk when i noticed a begger crawling towards me with his hand out asking for change. of course i don't speak hindi so i didn't know what he wanted. i walked nonchalantly by him, curving my body ever so slightly as to avoid his touch. i suppose he was quite hungry when he decided to rapidly extend his jaw and delightfully tear a piece of flesh from my inner calf. i kicked him violently and he fell over, but the smile on his face told me that he was ever so satisfied with what he had accomplished.
a few days later flesh started to slowly peel off, and a fever ensued. i feel very slow and almost a bit dopey. regardless, i have this sudden urge to be around intellectual people. dragging my leg around the streets of india can't be attractive, so i prefer to stay put until i hear a loud noise or see something that looks exciting.
so in the end, don't look so surprised when i come back home and all i want to do is eat your brain.

j'adore l'indie.

so after about a week and a half, my camera has died and gone to camera heaven. perhaps there will be a resurrection in the works, but for now this is what i have. although i did buy a very terrible 35mm film camera hoping that maybe the pictures may turn out so terrible that they might be good. however, to my surprise, this camera has exceeded my expectations and in fact the pictures are so terrible that they are interestingly enough just very terrible. if i feel you deserve it, i may invest some time and rupees into a sneak peak. thus i have truly realized all this time, that i am in fact, no photographer even if i could credit myself as one in the first place. i have decided to challenge myself to capture some of this journey's most precious moments on the least worthy camera.

in gokarna waiting to go to kumta to catch the bus to go to mumbai.

vishnu hangin' about avatar stylez.

ah yes, anjuna beach. at guru cafe. although i never saw any gurus.

arrived in goa waiting for the bus to anjuna.

there are too many details and too many stories. i don't want to flush you with many. therefore, if you want to ask me 'how is india?', just ask me when i get back. instead ask me things like, 'where are you going next? what are you going to do there?" also, another request. if you are going to ask me where i am going and answer me back like you know where it is, then be prepared for me to give you a sarcastic reaction. just sayin'.

love you and miss you all.

short and sweet,
